Heiva is a festival of traditional Tahitian dances taking place in July. It is one the most important cultural events in French Polynesia and surely the best well-known dancing competition. For the first time Heiva i Tahiti festival was organized in 1985. This beautiful colorful show has been taking place for more than 20 years paying homage to national traditions and rites. It is a great opportunity to discover Tahitian dances.
